In this workshop, we will be exploring latin music and all its different percussion instruments part of the Carribean popular and folkloric culture. We will learn rhythms from Cuba and Puerto Rico and play the palo drums, bomba drums, timbales, bongo, guiro, different cow-bell pattern, maracas, the bata drums, shekere, drumset, and accustom ourself with the concept of clave.
This workshop is aimed for all latin-music lovers, those who would like to deepen their knowledge of latin-music as well as for those who are new to latin-music.
For all those who are new to latin-music, this “3 day workshop” offers you a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with latin-music, get a better understanding and learn the roles of the different instruments.
